It also has a switch for changeover to macro photography at focal lengths between 200mm and 300mm with a maximum close-up magnification from 1:2.9 to 1:2.SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass in this lens provides excellent correction of chromatic aberration.

    Overall a great lens for the money!

    I really love this lens. I bought this lens specifically for the Macro ability of the lens and I am not disappointed. I got a great telephoto lens and macro lens all in one. I get clear great shots, The pictures are sharp and my husband was so impressed with the pictures I took with it, we went ahead and ordered one for his Pentax 5. I have a Sony NEX5N. I bought an LA/EA2 Adapter to use with this lens, to take advantage of it's automatic focus capabilities.
