Well made, perfect for my TLD reels
I have installed these clamps on 9 Shimano TLD reels and am very happy with them. Fit, finish and functionality couldn't be better. I modify every TLD I acquire with these mounts and a replacement handle with a round knob that is much easier to use in handling large fish. The one thing you have to remember if you want to install these clamps is that the spool of the reel has to be empty. The bolts securing these mounts and the OEM mounts must be inserted and secured from inside the reel.I have installed these clamps on 9 Shimano TLD reels and am very happy with them. Didn't work with my reel without some filing
I had line on my reel so I couldn't insert the screws. I ended up filing two sides of each screw so I could fit them through the bottom of the rod seat foot. Then, I can turn them and secure them in place. They probably work fine if you put them in place before filling your reel with line.
