What a change! My last two Bissel uprights pooped out, and though the motors ran, I was just sick them! They were heavy, and not particularly maneuverable. I researched a lot, and actually wanted a cordless, until I read that there is a 3-4 hour charge time, with a pretty average run time of 20 minutes. I elected to get s corded model. It came very securely boxed, with all the attachments; and assembly was a breeze, taking a matter of a few minutes to put together. My carpet was very dirty, the result of 2 1/2 weeks without a vacuum. I had previously owned big, bulky uprights with limited maneuverability, and a good bit of noise. This Shark Rocket has a smaller head, but it's fast, clean, and agile. The low-profile carpet head fits under chairs, couches, and tables where I could never before access without moving furniture. The head easily rotates, and gets everywhere easily. It's light, and this is a real game changer. I definitely recommend this fantastic machine. As I age, I try to work smarter, not harder, and the Shark Rocket fits that parameter!Read full review

The suction is good on hard floors but totally inadequate on carpet in a house with long haired dogs. Easy to use, convenient to store. Friend has one she bought new, years ago and it has much better suction.

Easily the best vac I have owned. Small, amazing suction, headlights like a Lexus. The flex wand is sweet for under couches and dresser. Two speeds are nice for carpet vs hardwood. It is powerful enough to lift my rug on power II, had to drop it down a gear. Haven’t used any of the attachments yet. Came in all new packaging and was clean as new despite being a refurb. Delivery took 2 days.

I purchased this for use on outdoor carpet on a screened-in porch in a humid climate. I tested the vac and it picked up: - Damp pine cone nubs - Damp helicopter seeds - A pile of sand (spilled out of a deck box we were moving) - Individual pine needles - Big dead beetles - Little dead bugs (which can get caught in the carpet fibers) It couldn't pick up: - Pine needles that were still in clusters (reasonable!!) Strengths: - Powered brush head (electricity goes down a channel in the tube). - No mesh filter, which would hold moisture. - The dust cup is easy to empty. - The metal filter in the dust cup is easy to reach when emptying, so I can brush off anything that stuck to it (i.e. damp dirt).

Who knew how much of a difference the bending arm would make!? I vacuumed my entire house (even completely under all beds) in a fraction of the time. The swivel head also makes the work fast and, dare I say it?!, enjoyable! The hard floor attachment worked well enough...was able to pick up large dog kibble fairly well. Did very well on pet fur and regular kitchen floor debris. This is the best vacuum I've ever owned.
