This fan is perfect for what I needed. I wanted something small and quiet to put on top of my Northbridge chipset. The chipset already had a passive heatsink but i wanted additional cooling. This little fan is completely quiet. I had to fabricate a little bracket to hold it just above the chipset. I wouldn't recommend this as a computer case fan because it doesn't move enough air. I think it would work well in an external drive enclosure or some other smaller cabinet.

Fan works great with EnzoTech Forged copper north bridge heat sink. The combination of the two components dropped my north bridge temperature by 15 degrees Celsius.

Bought a couple cheap fans to replace the original fans on a security dvr. Kept the whole house up at night they were so loud. These scythe mini kaze fans are so quiet I had to check to make sure I turned it on.

This fan works great for cooling the hotend on my 3D printer. It's nice and quiet, but it doesn't have very much airflow so keep that in mind. That's too be expected though since it's such a low RPM.

I used this 40MM fan to replace a 35MM fan in a piece of electronics. The 35MM fan was annoyingly LOUD, approx 26dB, whereas this one, rated at 14dB can't even be heard. The rated airflow of this fan was is somewhat less, but my sanity was worth the risk. To be safe, I drilled some additional vent holes in the case to improve air flow. With a little additional modification to the case, this little gem is innstalled and purring like a kitten while the other room deafening rattle trap is in the scrap heap.
