Troubleshooting Introduction to Samsung TV Main Boards

Samsung is a Korean company that makes many different types of consumer electronics. This company was founded in 1938, and it makes televisions and other types of displays that are used all over the world. Find a main board for your Samsung TV by taking a look at the options that are provided in this collection.

What is the main board in a TV?

This type of board is also known as a circuit board or a motherboard. It bundles all of the different functions of a TV in one place, and it powers the various parts of a television made by this brand. These boards are usually printed circuit boards (PCBs), and they contain many different plugs and connectors that are used to run a TV.

To power a TV, this board takes energy from the power supply and distributes it throughout the TV. These boards use copper wire to conduct electricity, and they are designed specifically to work with a certain type of television. These parts can be replaced when your TV won't turn on, but you want to watch a game or movie with your friends or family.

Where is the main board located?

There are a variety of different types of boards contained within a television made by this brand, but there is only one board that routes energy to each part of the TV. This board is usually located on the left-hand side of the TV. It is the only board in your TV that is directly connected to the TV's electricity supply. This type of board is green in color whereas the other boards in your TV are yellow or blue.

How do you replace the main board in a TV?

After you've determined which type of board is needed in your TV, and you've purchased a board that fits your specifications, you'll need to know how to replace this component. Follow these steps to remove the existing board from your TV and to install a replacement.

  • Step 1: Disconnect your TV from the AC wall plug. If possible, disconnect the other end of the cord from the back of your TV.
  • Step 2: Work in a well-lit area. Clear a horizontal workspace that is large enough to admit the dimensions of your TV, and place a cloth or other soft object on top of the workspace.
  • Step 3: Lay the TV face-down on top of the cloth or soft object.
  • Step 4: Locate the screws arranged around the edge of the back of the TV. Use a screwdriver to remove these screws. In most cases, these screws need a Phillips-head screwdriver.
  • Step 5: Lift the back plate off of your TV. Locate the board that you will be removing.
  • Step 6: Use a screwdriver to disconnect the board from the back of the TV. Disconnect all of the wires that are connected to the board.
  • Step 7: Remove the old board and install the replacement. Replace the back cover when you are done.
