I purchased this phone to get back and try the android system again. I've been using iPhones for a long time. This is, basically, a back-up phone. Samsung has a great reputation and builds quality products. It's a very solid, nicely designed phone. The android apps seems to work OK. Battery life is not nearly as good as the iPhone I have. This phone definitely needs to be charged every day. Sometimes I could go 2-3 days on the iPhone before I really had to charge it. It's probably the apps running in the background. That's an Android issue, not Samsung. Overall, it's a good product. There are lots of accessories for this phone out there. Very pleased with the purchase. I'd still go with the iPhone first. But, this is definitely a great alternative.

10-22-15 I am not the most experienced smartphone user on the planet, but I can figure things out mostly given a little time and practice. The most worthy thing about this phone is its speed. It's blazingly fast due to its twin cores when you have good signal. The S6 has a bunch of cool "Edge" features on it that are completely lost as soon as you put a silicone protector and belt accessory on it to wear on yourself. The curved screen is at risk for surface damage all the time because it sticks up about the same level as the protector. It came with a miniscule sheet protector that didn't even cover 80% of the flat part of the screen. Any protector you buy for it, whether flexible or curved has severe drawbacks such as the flexible ones not staying on due to the curved edges, or the hard ones cracking because they are under stress as soon as they must adhere to the curved edge. Otterbox? Forget it. Somebody needs to design something that protects the phone and screen while letting you use the features for which you paid. As for the phone itself, the features like Voice, camera, apps, syncing, Android Beam, Excel and Word, Memo, etc. that make it a smartphone are very cool and work great. It's a little confusing when trying to access multiple apps back and forth at the same time. Also, trying to talk on the phone while using the different apps can be a little challenging because there is no clear cut way to bring up a new app screen when the phone is showing alternate screens without hitting the back button or the main button and selecting "close", to start over and bring up just the app you want. Getting back to the main screen with other apps open is tedious and usually results in all open apps being closed. It takes great pictures and video. Sound quality is a bit strained most times. Playback of sounds almost seems to come out better than being able to hear a person's voice over the phone. Speaker function works well. Voice command works well. Sound with ear-buds in is not that great. The extra real estate on the screen certainly beats my old Centura phone from Tracfone. Also, the ease of attaching pictures to messages and emails is great. All in all, I could have done just as well if not better with an S5 or a regular S6 and skipped all the edge features. At least the phone should still be worth something after about 4 years. Update 12-25-15 Terribly disappointed today to have to send this phone in for warranty service because the microphone quit working. I can hear other people on calls, but they can't hear me. Also, because the mic doesn't work, the talk to text function has stopped. All the voice activated features depend naturally on the microphone. Reading online shows that this is turning out to be a common problem. I would never buy this phone again given the high price of it and the things I've experienced so far. When it works, it works great, but when it doesn't, it's $809.00 worth of headache and bummer.Read full review

I upgraded from a Samsung G3 to the S6, which is three models behind the most current release from Samsung. The S6 is a tremendous improvement over the G3 in terms of speed and storage capability. I thought it came with too many pre-loaded apps; many of which I find no use for and find that many are next to impossible to delete such as the TV remote control app that was pre-loaded and is in my opinion an annoyance. I also had no use for the pre-loaded games. Why not let purchases download the apps they want and not load the new phones up with a bunch of useless apps for most users. I consider the phone a good value at its current price for a new demo phone that was never activated.

The phone is light weight and stylish with great features. Love the thumb print lock for phone. It holds a charge well but unlike other samsung phones you can not remove battery or ad sd card. Therefore like apple phones make sure you purchase a GB amount that will grow with your needs. Good Price !!!!

This phone is great! Picture quality is top notch and video quality is not bad either. The only problem is that a few of these phones have a problem where the power button stops working after a few days. I happened to have one of those :/ Fortunately if you bought the 1 year warranty you do not have to worry at all. But since I am a product reviewer I want to return this for a new phone(since I like to keep switching phones to review).
