This is the second book from Ms. Wick in her "Big Sky Dreams" series. Like the first, it is a frontier adventure romance all rolled into one. In rough and tumble Denver, Colorado, Sabrina Matthews is a young woman of questionable reputation. In spite of her standing in this community she befriends a police office and his wife, Danny and Callie Bradshaw. They show nothing but kindness toward Sabrina and in return she comes to believe in Jesus and His love for all. When Sabrina is ready to make a fresh start on her new life, thanks to the Bradshaws, she takes a train to Token Creek, in the Montana territory. While there she finds herself falling for Pastor Rylan Jarvik, but she is terrified that because of her past he may not come to love her as she loves him. She has to make the decision to tell him about herself and believes that God will help her. Will Rylan overlook her past and see a bright future for both of them? This is a story of faith and hope that is well known to all Ms. Wick's fans. The last book, "Cassidy" also took place in Token Creek in case it sounds familiar to you. Ms. Wick's books can be read by anyone because of the clean content and inspirational messages they inspire.Read full review
As an avid fan of Lori Wick, I find her stories to be very poignant and Sabrina is no exception. As Sabrina Matthews is removed from her life as a prostitute and shown the redeeming grace of God by a police officer; she shows the strength to withstand the trials and temptations the world puts in her way as God reveals to her the truth of who she is in Him. I come away from reading one of Lori Wick's books with a keener understanding of the love I receive from God and can only marvel at the grace he has shown me.
I had read the first book in this series, "Cassidy" and liked it so well than when the sequel came out I got it right away. It has a great storyline of love and redemption and allowing the love of God to be shown to others. It shows how that it doesn't make any difference what our past is or has been, that God forgives and makes us as good as new. It was great...and I look forward to the next one.
I am a huge fan of Lori Wicks, and this was one of her best books so far. I liked the way that Lori Wick looked at the issue of prostitution without going into the nitty gritty details of it. She focuses on the person, not the details of the sin. It is a wonderful story of God's grace and how those who truly have the Lord in the center of their lives can overlook someones past mistakes. This was a wonderful book. If you haven't read the first book in the Big Sky Dreams series, you definitely should do so.
Love this author.
