if you live in the US i recommend paying the extra 15% or so on the stax website because it comes with a warranty. This thing is way too cheapy built (housing wise) to risk it. It's the same ABS plastic as legos, but even more flimsy. all the costs go to internal components. Otherwise, sounds great if you remove the back covers. They quite significantly change the sound. Not talking about the headband , but the little round covers. Completely unique sounding compared to my other IEMs, maybe due to its open back design. Rich and technically detailed but suppressed in the mid region. I think it goes for a free field-neutral response. Has a similar signature as my L300s except for the upper frequency accentuation on my L300s. This might be too tame for those looking for a vibrant/dynamic sounding IEM. Suited for people who want to listen a long time without being fatigued.Read full review

They sound great once you get a good seal. I couldn't get a good visit seal with the stock ear tips, but did some research and modded a pair of foam tips and the seal was much better giving filter bass.
