All the tools lock once deployed, but releasing the lock reqires that you open the tool to access the mechanism. The magnetic bit holder is good and very secure. The pocket clip is also a useful feature. Leatherman sidekick is slightly more expensive but incudes a saw in the tool set and a better blade.

It is sturdy. The gear mechanism is a good idea in accomplishing the action of squeezing the pliers. Its stainless steel body makes sure it is corrosion resistant. And the flexibility to carry 18 tools in one makes it handy not only for a carpenter but any DIYer.

I bought this multi tool because of the corkscrew Although you can open wine with it, it’s size makes the task very difficult. I am also unimpressed with the size and shape of the blade. It is more like a toy, than a serious tool!

This multi-tool is a miniature version or pocket size version. The knife and scissors are handy but not quick to deploy. There is an almost hidden clasp that prevents the tool from opening inadvertently, once you know it is there it is no problem but, makes deployment a two handed function. The small size means that you will not or may not have leverage needed to tighten/loosen or pull on whatever needs adjustment. Otherwise, it is a very nicely made tool, just small.
