1/2" AXA GTN This is a nice parting tool, it has performed very well so far on copper & aluminum 1.125" bar. I've used the traditional parting blades all the way down to .040" & what I've found as a beginner with my lathe is that a straight tool holder that would eliminate the need to reset the blade cut center would probably be much better in that it would allow incremental extension of the blade for max rigidity against blade deflecting during the cut & easy adjustments during the process.
