As a coffee roaster we weight out over 4000 lbs of coffee per month in small to large bags. The saga scales have constantly been great quality, accurate and have held up for several Years at between replacements. Being a nominal cost, I typically buy two or three at a time and replace as needed. A great quality scale.

Used a few times, then died within 3 months. Won't work on batteries or the supplied AC wall wart. The brand new batteries oozed battery acid, and these were brand new when installed. Display got weak after a couple of weeks. Possible I got a bad one. I tried the AC adapter instead of batteries new and that never work either, so I used batteries. I also own a cheaper version that only goes to 30 pounds and that still works. That is a one piece unit and i used the battery adapter from day one. Just needed one for heavier stuff and this was dissapointing. It was too late to return 3 months after the sale. Hope to read a better review on this, but mine is junk. In all fairness, it did work well for about a month.

The SAGA 100 LB unit is about the same size as their smallest unit, the 86 lb scale but we find it is less stable. It's square shaped so something like a small pad balanced on a load cell. We bought it to be able to measure the weight safely of large parcels in the 65 to 100 lb range as we sell a lot of surplus electronic equipment. The scale offers a read out that does a good job but the scale itself is so small the read out varies depending on how the package is sitting. Take a 20" x 20" x 20" package that weighs 75 lbs. It only balances on the scale if it is exactly dead center. Otherwise, the package wants to slip off or lean to the floor and the small scale's top then wants to pop off. It's just too small for large packages. If we did not need the visible digital read out, we would have returned it. If you ship large packages that have weight, look for a bigger scale.Read full review

It was meant to be sturdy and commercial grade scale for everyday heavy use. However when you unpack it, the overal feeling is very light cheap and plastic. Yes, it does the scaling, but seems more like a toy, not a tool for heavy load. We are sending around 400 parcels weekly, so I was seeking for something more professional. The digital scale meter that can be put on the top is a good idea, but why there's no accessories to hold it on the place, even no hole/hook to hang it? Second scale we have is a Accucheck- that costs half of Saga's value, while being heavy-duty tool that is pleasure to work with. We've put the Saga on a back door part of the warehouse for occasional use, it not built for more than that

I went with the scale because of the affordable price and the digital display could be moved to a more readable position for my needs. After first use I found out I wasted my money on this product. The components are hot glued to the insides and the digital display wildly fluctuates and produces inaccurate weights. When your one job is to weigh things you would think you would produce a product that actual does what it was designed todo :(
