Complete Waste of Money
I bought this to use for spot cleaning between shampoo's. It is awkward to use, especially to fill. The handle kept collapsin, and it was difficult to push and pull. It is not helpful at all in spot cleaning. All it does is put perfume smell onto the carpet (which lasts less than a day). Avoid! Cleaned all carpets in 3000 sf house, was fast and got carpets very clean, use rug DR. cleaning solution. Had to refill clean water and dirty water tanks about 12 times but, as they are rather small the are not very heavy to move around. Best non-commercial steam cleaner ever!
This machine works as well an any commercial I have ever used or owned (30 years in the cleaning business). Let the machine do the work and you'll love it too. It only extracts liquid while being pulled backwards (an adjustment for me but I didn't hurt the next day either). Maneuvering takes a bit of practice to clean tight edges but is easier than lifting the machine. Powerful suction and easy to use.
This machine has more suction than any other I've tried and uses less water to do the same space as other machines, the draw backs are the hand held pieces aren't very user friendly, and the working side of the machine is very hard to get cleaned when the job is finished. Cleans well but soap tank is too small.
Does a really great job. Better than my last one, a Hoover I had for 25yrs and the pump quit but it did not have rotating brushes. The advantage of the Dr, IMHO is the brushes. The only negative I have like so many others is the small capacity of the soap tank! I just barely did a once over on a short 12ft or so hallway when it ran out. It cleaned it well though but I wanted to continue cleaning other areas but had to stop and re-fill the tank using up more expensive cleaning solution. This is a great unit for cleaning the dirtiest of carpets. We had not vacuumed at all over winter. The carpets were bad. This unit did a great job bringing our berber carpet back to life. This unit is challenging for cleaning carpeted stairs. The wand is not as good as the rental units. Take your time and plan on many trips dumping dirty water and filling with clean water and soap. really great at cleaning. however I broke the front clear cover on mine and it is not available! so I had to toss the whole unit .it wasn't under the 2 yr warranty. just saying you cant buy parts for this. also to clean you'll have to use a small tiny , bottle brush and take it to an outside hose other wise it gets nasty looking. another feature i didn't like . i would like to remove the clear suction area to clean.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Product does a great job getting the carpet really clean.amazing how Dirty the water gets even on a 2nd rinse. Be prepared to change the water very often! On my first runs I got about 20 sq.ft. per filling...but a very clean area. The suction is outstanding. I was amazed by the amount of sand it removed... we are on a beach area in Florida.
