Great Product
First, there are 12 (twelve!) 3-prong outlets, and the 8 on the sides swivel 90 degrees. Very convenient, and bulky components adjacent to each other don't crowd each other. There is also an F-type connection for high-speed internet connection from a local cable company. Since I starting using it, there have been a couple of lightning strikes close to my residence, and the power in the block went out. My computers are still working. Did the Rosewill protect them? Great for Home Theater
Bought this for a home theater project in my basement. The previous homeowner left behind a high quality projector and some speakers so I decided to rebuild the home theater. I replaced the speakers and all the cables, bought a new receiver, and built a new screen with high quality material, unlike the original that was the cheapest I've seen. Since we added Xbox and Wii game consoles, a 3D Blu-Ray DVD player, and a cable box I needed some protection and more outlets for the all the electronics. I shopped around and not wanting to spend big bucks on a high end surge protector that could cost several times more, my research found that this surge protector offered excellent value for the money. I mounted it on the wall near the components and this resulted in having all the power cords and coax for the cable box off the floor. The wife likes this new setup so she can vacuum the carpet without having to move all the cords. I also like the way some of the outlets can be rotated for odd power supply plugs. Rosewill RHSP-13006 Premium 4320 Joules Rotating outlet Power Protector
Our 8 year old APC BE550G battery backup & surge protector was malfunctioning, so it was time to change it for a new one. So I researched for another surge protector and found the Rosewill RHSP-13006 power protector. When I purchased it I didn't know how reliable it will turn out to be, but I expect it to last at least 8 years, just like our old APC. I did notice that it is smaller (takes up much less space) and much lighter in weight than our old APC because it does not have a battery backup. It is equipped with 12 outlets, 8 of which rotate to enable you to use for bigger connections. Cleaned up noise on older consoles
Just got mine today and already noticing a difference with older machines which use analog video and require clean power to provide a clear image. Before on a cheaper power strip I had faint lines going from the bottom left of my screen to the top right constantly on my sega genesis. However on this rosewill surge protector I'm getting clean power to my system removing those annoying lines.
