Easy to use, great for hot pot.
This is great for hot pot/shabu. My family traditionally uses a portable butane stove for hot pot, but the pot does not feel stable on that stove. Having several liters of boiling hot water sitting unsteadily atop your dining table makes it a bit worrisome. So I got this instead. No flame and the pot sits flat on the induction cooktop. Very steady. It's also easy to operate, much like the induction stoves at the hot pot restaurants. The pot is nothing to rave about, but it works just fine for hot pot. Much slower than I expected. As far as electricity consumption, I have to wait for next power bill. I am on regular cooking schedule. To operate, I am not so sure heat/wattage combination is working or not. One needs to learn how to adjust heat level without depending on indicator. The cooker is easy to use and compact. The included pot is marginally useful, too thin. Durability will be proven over time, just looking at it won't tell you that. Seems fairly robust. The keypad "lock" feature should be on all touch pad devices. I have been using induction cook tops for a while and this one will make it easier to do more
It is fairly portable, I can use the pot that came with it. One nice touch is a little magnet that tells you the pot will work on an induction cooker. This is my second induction cook top. This burner is so great. It boils water incredibly fast. It is so easy to use. The included pot is lightweight and thin and does hae a tendency to burn if not watched carefully, but does great if cooking at lower temperatures.
