How do you know if an 25ft extension cable or a 50ft XLR cable is yours or the next guy in the band. Worse yet, if you are like me and you are called upon to work along side other people in a similar trade, how do yo "Quickly" and "Easily" identify your cables without having to spray paint or disfigure your equipment. I use certain colors for certain items. This makes it not only easy to see which cables are mine but it also helps me know which specific bag to replace that cable in. Some bags have 2) 25ft extension cables and 1) 50ft extension cable. Some bags only carry the longer cables. My main bags ( the ones that I always bring no matter the size of the gig/assignment) have a mixture of a little bit of everything. Having different colored strips helps me repack the bags much quicker at the end of the night and I don't have to "solely" rely on my check off list to make sure the right cables are in the right bag. It may seem or sound a little anal to you BUTT :-) when you purchase your own equipment and it comes out of your pocket(s), you have a tendency of becoming what a lot of people call anal. If I wanted to buy 5 of the same cables instead of 4 then I would have purchased 5. If you loose one, you will have to go out and replace that cable and effectively you would have bought 5 but because you lost one, you still only have 4. If me protecting my investment(s) and wanting to speed up my time in striking my equipment ( setting up and breaking down my equipment) means that I am considered to be anal then so be it. No one will give me any $$ (including my paying clients) to replace equipment left behind or taken by another tech.... Even If They Took It By Mistake/Accidentally, I will have to replace that piece of equipment. If I am lucky, I will discover that I am missing something while I am breaking down and/or BEFORE my next gig/assignment. Nothing like knowing that you have a Y XLR cable or a RCA to Male XLR or a XLR to 1/4 cable only to discover when you look in your bag it is NOT there. One cable cable ruin a show. How much does these strips cost vs how much $$ you will have to refund your client &/or how much $$ will it cost you to replace whatever it is that you are using these for. For me, I am glad I seen these on line. I plan on purchasing more in the near future.Read full review

These are GREAT, and so handy to wrap the many charger cables I have all over the place, especially those in my computer bag! Perfect Buy - good price for the qty & colors; (There are many choices of qty & prices). I bought a small pkg about 10 years ago, but had only 1 left that I used daily and needed more. May not need to buy again for a long time, but I'm also sharing a few with family.

They work wonderfully for my guitar cables, patch cables for effect pedals, computer and smart cables, etc. I also frequently use two different tube headphone amplifiers that I move all over the place, and these cable ties just keep my former messes and tangles way under control - sanity saving!!
