The primary reason for my purchase was that I needed a dual voltage shaver for a trip abroad. I am currently using & have used exclusively Remington Microscreen electric shavers for many years. I have a door knocker beard, and the wide shaver heads & rotary head shavers just don't work for shaving around my beard. This shaver uses the same MicroScreen 2 screen & cutter as my current shaver. Although, I owned this exact shaver years ago, and loved it. It's not a new model, but the quality at time of original manufacture was Remington's top-of-the-line. This shaver is factory reconditioned, and I could not tell it from a new shaver, except for a small blemish on the body. The motor is strong, and shaves flawlessly on a day-old growth. The screen/cutter can be bought from many sellers, at a MUCH more reasonable price (< $20) than late model shavers. In my opinion, the new model shavers are just not as good.....particularly when considering the cost of a new model shaver of comparable quality. Remington still sells this factory reconditioned shaver for $85 w/ free shipping. Read full review

Advertisement says it’s brand new. The battery is replaced as a minor refurbishment and it is not in a brand new box or packaging. It does seem to work like new, but if you buy it, don’t expect manufacture packaging, and expect that the battery has been replaced due to the age of the original battery. I think the cost is a little high given that the shaver is in perfectly brand new and the brand itself as well over 10 years old.

This foil electric razor is fantastic! I had used rotary electric shavers as a teen/early 20's, but I was never too impressed with the closeness of the shave. For decades I've been using a 5 blade disposable and found myself kind of obsessive about getting a close shave. It was a bit rough on the skin. With this new(refurbished) razor I get a baby soft shave and my skin is not abused. It catches all the hair, and is super easy to clean. The blade and foil replacements are inexpensive. I can't say enough good about this razor.

I'm a long time Remington DA-307 fan and user, My last one lasted 12 years. I must admit that I only use it on half my shaves, mixing it with wet shaves on the other days. It would probably have lasted longer had I maintained it more regularly. It's a great robust shaver that lasts far longer than many other models in its price class and I wouldn't want to test that theory as I only want to dry shave with my Remington 307.

I have been using the DA 307 since it came out, first as a new item for 25 USD, then as a refurb for 55 when Remington stopped making them, and finally now as a rare NOS item for 125. They are now rare beasts in any condition, but I paid the latest price without a second thought. It is by far the best razor I've ever used. Closer shave, longer battery life, and better trimmer.
