A good light-duty electric chainsaw. It gets the job done without losing your religion from pulling on a rope to get a gas-powered saw started. Fine for smaller, infrequent jobs around the home. Oiler is automatic and gravity fed, so you'll need to drain the oil reservoir after use to keep from having a mess while the saw is in storage.

My opinion is biased by having previously used a Craftsman 16'' electric chainsaw. This Remington saw comes with a skip-link chain, which causes it to jump around like a jack rabbit when you're trying to cut hard wood. I ended up changing the cutter angle (not certain what it was at, but I gave it more angle - to about 30 degrees)[heads-up: changing the angle like that may cause increased wear on the bar], and with the new angle and keeping it really sharp it cuts fairly smooth, but still slower than a Craftsman. It also doesn't seem to be built too solidly, and you have to remove an e-clip to remove the bar - which of course could easily be lost.

Great price great product for such a hard to find item. Just had to do some slight modifications to the part of it that attaches to the bar where the 2 bolts go through to make it fit a 30+ year old model EL-1. Good people and would deal with them again.

Opened the box, filled it with bar and chain oil and had a small 30’ pine tree in my back yard down and limbed in under 2 hours! Awesome little saw for the price for sure!!

Easy to handle, good power, well made. Just plug it in and go, no more messing with gas ones every few years anymore.
