I had to barebone test the board and components. I had bios screen freeze after resetting bios both default and custom settings. Turns out the CPU was defective only maxing out at 2.4 ghz on bios screen then locking up the boot up process. Replacing it with a known to be working Pentium D 2.8 ghz the bios freeze disappeared. It now works properly with the different CPU and the 1 gb ddr2 memory stick. I now have the board set up with 4 gb ddr2 , Nvidia Quaddro2000,120gb ssd 1tb WD HDD and it works great .

The board fired right up, but went into an "automatic repair' loop and I cannot get beyond that. it recognizes my hard and floppy drives and keyboard and mouse. I had added another memory board, which it reconized. because of the uto problem, I took the extra memory back ou, but still get the same results with either 1 or 2 memory bords. I am running window 10, which I had on the original board, which had a failure of the mouse controller. Where do I go from here?

I'm an IT Pro for 20+ yrs. ASUS hardware never fails (except city power fails) and always has been innovative and Produced Hi-End products. As for this particular motherboard, I had to find that exact model for replacing my own. Great product and value.

I need this board very badly as my original brand new out of the box ASUS P5GC-MX/1333 failed. I got this board from this vendor VERY FAST and it came with memory, fan, CPU, cables and absolutely everything I needed to get up and running immediately. It is blazing fast and is even faster than the board I replaced it with. THANK YOU!
