So lets start right off with pros of this truck 1. It's cheap!!! for a 4wd brushless monster truck. 2. It rips on a 2s LiPo the top end of this truck is insane! 3. Its a fairly cool looking monster truck. 4. It has a hobbywing ESC 5. It has unbranded duratrax hatchet tires that hook up very well 6. Chassis layout is fairly simple to wrench on And lets get to the cons which unfortunately it has more of.. 1. They use tow links on the rear end of the truck as well and they are way to thin. 2. The plastics on the knuckles are very brittle and likely to break (luckily there's aluminum ones you can buy) 3. The punch setting on the esc out of the box is weird. Starting out there's heavy cogging and hesitation but as soon as it gets about 3-5mph it turns into sonic the hedgehog on speed and rips through the midrange and highend of the gearing. However of something is blocking the trucks wheels like snow even after attempting to get it unstuck it will shut the motor down almost like it hits a safety. (Gonna have to look in the manual at punch settings) 4. Servo horn is plastic and stripped right out on run number 4. 5. Rear body mounts broke right off after 4-6 foot high jump (that was more my fault for jumping it and expecting it to handle like one of my arrma's or traxxas) 6. The body doesn't seem to be lexan or if it is, it's very low quality lexan. The entire rear end of the truck body is cracked. Now I don't want to leave the impression that a gentle breeze will destroy this truck for what redcat used to be to where they are now there is major improvement however I think that there is still ways to come if they ever truly want to compete against the big names like Traxxas, Losi, and Arrma for bashing. I'm currently waiting on aluminum hop ups from redcat to see if this remedies the knuckle and body mount issue, im also going to see if proline has any shocks that will fit as well. If your looking to buy a truck that is cheaper and durable I would recommend looking elsewhere like an arrma granite 3s blx is much more durable or if you dont mind spending another 70 the stampede 4x4 vxl. However if your looking for something thats a little bit of a project but still rips I would say that dukono pro is a viable option. I hope this helps because theres not many in depth reviews on this thing.Read full review
