Nice product, good option for rear bumper protection
The product is good quality. It is "soft" plastic which gives and will flex for installation. It is not designed specifically for this vehicle (Mercedes GLC) the way some of these products, for example, "rearguard" are. That being said, the fit was very good but not perfect. I would still recommend the product. The other options are 1. clear film, which I don't think will protect against a significant ding. Or 2. a brushed steel or chrome version that will likely scratch over time. These are typically 25-30% more expensive and designed specifically for the vehicle. Great Idea. Not Great Fitting.
With this piece you’ll have to really close the trunk hard for it to actually close. This rubber piece is thick so that’s why it prevents the trunk from properly closing. It also doesn’t really fit the bumper line of the car. So you have to start in the middle whenever you’re putting it on the car. Then go one side at a time bending it to fit. Time will tell if it stays on. For the money I’m not sure it’s worth it. It’s a lot of money for what you actually get. Expensive
Kind of expensive for just a plastic strip. But practice where to apply BEFORE you remove adhesive strip covers.. line up the center with the trunk latch, and let it hang over edge of bumper a bit, it's curved to fit that way. Wash and dry bumper first, then clean with enclosed alcohol wipe.

THIS A GREAT PRODUCT THAT GM SHOULD HAVE MADE STANDARD ON THE BUICK TOUR X AND OR OTHER AUTO'S WITH A LIFT GATE . IT WAS AN EASY INSTALL WITH THE HELPFULL HINT FROM THE PRODUCT SUPPLIER TO CUT THE TAPE ON THE BACK IN 3 INCH SEGMENTS WHICH MAKES THE INSTALL GO MUCH SMOOTHER AS YOU FIT TO YOUR EXACT CURVE. I WAITED TILL IT WAS WARM OUT ( 80 DEGREES ) BUT YOU COULD USE A HEATER ? IT IS ALWAYS NICE TO HAVE A PRODUCT THAT GOES AS WELL AS ADVERTISED.
