  • Works great, but only mix small portions at a time!

This product works really well provided you do a few things. One, make sure you follow the instructions doing the preparation work as described. It will make all the difference in your results. Otherwise you may not get a good material bond. I also recommend you drill holes and use anchor bolts/wire in the cavity area for large chunks that are missing to prevent separation. It works like rebar. The new material will be mechanically held (internally) by lag bolts and wire, plus the material bond. Second, make sure to only mix small quantities at a time otherwise it will start to set on you too quick, especially on really hot days. Start by only using the EXACT amount of water per pound of material. I use a spray bottle (mist setting) to barely add the ever so tiniest bit more water when mixing if necessary for the precise consistency. Too much and it will get soupy requiring more dry mortar affecting your ratio. *Note* a helpful tip -when shaping the material rinse your trowel first, keeping it damp. It helps give you a really smooth finish.
