I bought this to replace exactly the same camera that broke after 7 years and is discontinued. I really love the camera and it works exactly for what I want it in my business.

I love that I can use the computer to move the camera around the room. the face tracking works some of the time, but there isn't enough documentation to explain how it works, so when I want it to move, I have to guess what is doing to try and make it move. It would be nice if it showed a box on the screen when it finds a face so I could know what its tracking. the motor doesn't move when you go into hires mode, which doesn't make sense because I would think that it would still be able to track, but maybe thats a limitation with the tracking mechanism. I like the picture quality, especially in low light. I still have to close the blinds on the windows behind the subject in order for the faces to show up, thats just an issue with the room. I like the boom stand that puts the camera up higher, because then it puts the camera at eye level. for skype video conferencing, it fits the need. it has the microphone built in so I dont have to talk to a mic at another location, its picked up at the camera. it looks nice on my entertainment center.Read full review
After deciding to use Skype to chat with family/friends around the world, we bought the Logitech Orbit, and Logitech 9000. The clarity of 2 meg is very good, and the Carl Zeiss lens is top quality. The fun features you play with that can add changes to your face are always worth a laugh for the other viewer!! Beards, arrows thru your head,Star Wars head gear, as well as animal faces that appear to have your voice are fun for kids. Also you can change the picture to look like reverse image, old style, color by number art, distorted faces, and many more. It makes online chats more fun!! This is a very good unit that also follows your face as you move alittle during chats. Microphone is very good too. I'd recommend both webcams to anyone. Orbit is better suited to home use, and the 9000 is great for laptops in my opinion. Otherwise they're about the same quality..........great quality!!Read full review
Bought this camera so we can Skype with our son who just moved to Thailsnd with his wife and my 2-year old grandson to take a teaching job in Bangkok. This model is sold on Skype's site and is "Skype Certified." Really like the seamless interface with Skype. Very easy and simple to install and setup. Like the +/- 9" optional stand, which is essential if you have an LCD screen. Compact design doesn't take a lot of room on the desktop. Mike is actually better than our stand-alone mike. The face tracking feature is a little jerky sometimes, but very useful as well, especially if you have multiple people on the call, or you are moving around in the room. Very good product.
