The best kettle ever. This kettle is made of stainless steel. It is made like a cup looks inside. The electric element that heats up the water is outside underneath the bottom. So, that means no terrible fakes will develop over time. The top opens up enough for cleaning it. Heats up as quickly as any other kettle. The key word is "Stainless Steel" and that's the best type of kettle. A surgeon's instruments are also made of stainless steel. Buy stainless steel products like frying pans for safe healthy cooking. A great kettle at your price. Yes I would recommend you get yours today.

Nearly good
I already have a 1.7 literation water boiler that is very similar, except it is heavier gauge, cooler blue lights but we wanted something good smaller for travel. The hamilton beach is smaller, but I worry that it may be a bit flimsy for travel. Also there was a funny taste that after several soaks, vinegar, and cleanings seems to have gone away.

Great Item!
This item really heats up a full pot of water FAST!! I love that it turns off automatically when the water has come to a boil. The bottom stand also has a nice feature where you can coil the cord up into it so you don't have extra cord length looking messy on counter top. For this price, this is a great deal! We will take it with us when we travel also, for making hot water for tea or cocoa, etc.

Thrilled with this kettle!
I love this kettle so much! I own another brand that works okay but this one is faster and easier to fill. It has only a 1 liter capacity but if that is all you need- this is an excellent choice! I use it at work at lunch with only 30 minutes to eat -so boiling the water fast for tea is important.
