My college required this book for 2 of my math courses for elementary educators. The layout of the book is nice, however, I do not think the text does a great job preparing the reader for the math problems at the end of each section and chapter. I have found that the questions at the end of the chapter do not really relate to what was covered in the text which makes some of the problems difficult to solve. The book is an easy read, but I would prefer something that better prepared me for my problems that I have to solve.
The book was in good condition. It's pretty easy to read and provides many examples. Now, getting the concepts is a different story, ha! ha!
This was a required book for an elementary education math methods class I took at University. I find myself using it as a reference during lesson planning and substituting. I find that the explaination to solve a problem is often clearer than the student textbooks.
The chapter it starts with is very confusing and had to understand. Then the book get easier for a few chapters.
This was a required book for my math course. It was the teachers edition--which it didn't state in the product review but it has been good to be able to check my work and answers.
