I have ordered (and received rather quickly) a QY6-0075 printhead because I had read everywhere on the Internet that it's the suitable reference for a Pixma IP5300. Without a surprise, I received a compatible head, not a Canon-branded genuine one. Upon switching the printheads, I've been surprised that in my IP5300, the original printhead was a QY6-0067, not a -0075. Nevertheless, the new printhead works OK, so both references are compatible. I only regret that now that Canon has stopped selling these heads, suppliers of *compatible* heads charge the same price as Canon did for a *genuine*, Canon-branded, head, and that's almost the price of the complete printer. The only reason why I decided to purchase a replacement head instead of trashing my "old" printer (bought 10 years ago) and buying a new one, is that I had a complete set of (expensive) ink cartridges that probably wouldn't be compatible with a new printer. Well played, Canon marketing guys! You have us locked. Oh, one last thing: I hate that way of locking customers, but the Pixma IP5300 remains a very good printer, and the reseller of that printhead has made a good job.Read full review

So far so good. Having given up on ever finding a replacement print head for this excellent but now ageing Canon MP610 photo printer I was amazed and delighted to find this unit for sale on Ebay. In desparation I ordered and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the print head and speed of dispatch. Can't say if it will continue to give good service after a long period of use but am keeping my fingers crossed that it will. Not sure if this is a "NEW" unit as I find it hard to believe that spares are still available for the print head repair. I therefore assume it is a "refurbished" used unit.

Bought this because my fine print black nozzleswere completely blocked and could not be cleared. It worked fine, but now there are issues with the PGBK (larger faster) print head. Some nozzles are blocked and deep cleaning does not seem to fix them. Still working on it

It seems to work as well as the original one did.
