This Audiobox Radio is an inferior copy of the Sony ICF-P26 Portable Radio. It has a lower quality speaker and sound, lower quality casing, and junk internal wiring. I have both items and opened them up to check. In my opinion if your purchasing only one Radio get the Sony for $18 - $20 on Amazon and you'll have a longer lasting product. One addition to this Audiobox RX-3 over Sony is that it includes (sw) shortwave radio signal.

You get what you pay for. Radio can barely bring in stations. No rechargeable batteries included. No documentation on type of rechargeable batteries required. Questionable charging abilities via Solar panel. If you want a good emergency radio then pay for something that is worth having in an emergency. Not this one!

This is a very cleverly designed radio. Other than the obviously stolen name, this is a good receiver. The sound is surprisingly good for a unit of this size. Sensitivity and selectively are first rate. The internal battery can be charged from the large solar charger or from a 5vdc source.

Surprisingly this radio has better reception than its Sony twin. Good battery life so far. Its become one of my favorites!
