I was pleasantly surprised with the PockRock as a simple 'band in a box' and practice aid. It offers a very wide range of sound tailoring options, multiple rhythms for accompaniment and a built-in guitar tuner. It is compact and runs on AAA batteries or with an AC adapter. It can output into a regular guitar amp, or into a wired headset. I have only learned some of the functions and look forward to learning everything the PockRock is capable of. It would be great if future PockRocks could a) output Bluetooth (so you can practice with wireless headphones), and b) include upgraded switchgear in the sides of the box (on/off, volume..) - these are small and hard to operate with big fingertips No, I don't think the PockRock would be valuable to serious guitarists, who typically have an entire pedalboard, with drum machine, looper, effects etc... Plus the audio output of the PockRock isn't really concert-grade. Again, the PockRock seems to be designed for the intermediate who doesn't perform (yet) or own a bunch of pedals / effects.Read full review

It eats batteries like a hungry street beggar!!! I was planning to use it cordlessly and on the go but it won't last more than 1 hour of playing!!!! So I end up using my iPhone + iRig2 + Tonerbridge.. Sigh :-(

The PockRock is an amazing little device that produces a surprising variety of sounds. It is a lot of fun to play with and the price is right.
