This particular case is a replacement for an earlier unit that was damaged by an accident. I originally bought the Pelican case as rugged protective storage for a special watch and jewelry set that I often carry. Since I work with my hands, I carry the case with me in both my daily carry and overnight bag. It is ideal for this purpose. The best thing is that you can drop the case from normal height in most situations and it will provide excellent protect for the items inside.
