Proper torque is critical on bicycle parts which often require a low torque specification. The Park Tool ATD-1 is just the perfect tool to have on hand for quick servicing of fasteners ensuring you do not over tighten. Much faster and more accurate than going by "feel". If you care about your bikes and want to work on them correctly, add this to your toolbox. It uses standard 1/4" hex bits so if the size you need isn't included, you'll find them readily available wherever mechanical tools are sold.

This tool is a must have. I absolutely love this tool. It’s a game changer, because most of the time I was just hand-tightening nuts, bolts, and fasteners. Sometimes hand torque was fine. But in reality if a bolt were to come loose which it could and let’s say it was a brake bolt and I had to stop and my brake fell off and then a car hit me I would be dead. So please don’t think twice about not buying torque drivers and torque wrenches they are very essential in the Auto industry and there equally essential to mountain and Road bikes. Torque wrenches and drivers are not optional. Otherwise we run the risk of fatal, or permanent injury or worse death. So I know a tool like this is expensive but a tool like this will save your life and the lives of others as well.

This is a great example of ‘you get what you pay for.’ Pretty expensive little torque wrench by Park, but absolutely awesome. Shop quality, easy to use, made for a lifetime of use. Sometimes I just do a bolt check because it works so well and feels so tough.

This is not a substitute for a good bicycle torque wrench, but works fine for occasional quick use when you don't want to dig out the good torque wrench and set it. My biggest problem with this, and all torque wrenches, is finding the proper torque values for various bolts on bicycles. Contrary to often quoted instructions, the proper torque values are not often stamped on or near the bolts, great if they are, but if not, finding correct values is time-consuming, and not as easy as it should be. Checking with the manufacturer is an exercise if futility. I have yet to find a quick and easy chart.

I have a stable of fine bicycles. A high quality torque wrench like the Park Tool ATD 1.2 is essential when working on my bicycles. I expect the Park torque wrench to have a long service life. Adjustments are easily done by hand or a hex wrench. The click that signifies the proper torque is clearly audible.
