I have not actually used these mags to confirm their serviceability, and may not because my Mod. 459 is a new military model, however, they do appear to be well made. One problem I did note was that as the spring follower is depressed down in to the mag when ammo is bring loaded, the plastic follower snags or binds again the mag release slot. The follower had to be pushed away from the slot to allow further ammo loading. Of greater concern, If the follower were to bind while moving upward during use then the ammo would not feed properly. Appears to be a design problem that needs to be corrected.

I wholeheartedly agree along with the many reviews out there, that this magazine has an ejection problem of great significance. It is manufactured with a far too snug fit that requires me to pull it out after pressing the mag release. At the range? You'll be OK with this mag. BUT..........I would NEVER have this mag loaded and in my S+W model 59 protection pistol and chance being in need for a rapid switch to another mag! I will have my Mec-Gar mag loaded and inserted which slides out beautifully when the release button is pressed. This mag will ONLY be used as a secondary, pre-loaded!.

I recieved it right away Beautiful item. I had a little trouble with the ejection. I had to pull it out of the gun. I compared it to the original and found the original very square. This one has very slightly rounded corners. It was my impression the metal break used didn't bend the corners as sharply as in the original. I took my plastic gun hammer and gently taped the sides to get the puffiness out of it and sort of flattened it a bit. Then I used oil and 400 grit metal sand paper and took off most of the finish which was rough to the touch. I sanded it really smooth. The finish stayed on I just smoothed it out. Disassembled it cleaned it after sanding and it worked great. Pops out just like the original. Nicely made. It fits a variety of units so I accept some inconsistencies. It works great super price very happy. Cheers KevinRead full review

Altho Pro-Mag magazines suffer from spotty QC with mag bodies out of spec and mag latch , slide lock cutouts mislocated, I will usually buy them anyway to repair the flaws. I got lucky with this mag as it does seat and function fine in my particular pistol. I have had zero FTF, FTE slide lock or the infamous "stove pipe" malfunctions with this mag. Pretty pleased with it so far ; I just wish that PROMAG would get their QC failures under control. Until then, I can only recommend that you purchase any PROMAG magazine only if you know how to tweak them to work reliably.
