I bought this book to share with my elementary-aged general music students. It serves as a parody of "Over in the Meadow" (a folk song standard). It also stands alone as a fun song to sing, especially in late October. For teachers who are unfortunate enough to work in a place where October 31st celebrations are not allowed, the text mentions vampires, mummies, jack-o-lanterns, etc, without ever using the word, "Halloween." The illustrations are vivid and detailed. This is definitely a 5 star book.
