This is my second XZ-1 and I'm delighted to have another one! The first XZ-1 lasted a delightful seven years before finally failing beyond reasonable repair costs. Image quality has always been beyond it's apparent specs, I am often amazed at the sharpness of the superb lens, this, despite owning and regularly using the top Olympus EM-1 and it's brilliant lenses. The XZ-1 is small and light and is still my favourite camera for small scale product photography and travelling. I use the exposure adjustment regularly and it's simple to adjust. Quiet and so lacking in vibration that I can handhold it at shutter speeds that defy it's basic anti-shake system (compared to the EM-1), colours are superb, natural yet with a touch of extra saturation in blue skies that look vibrant without being over the top. The fast f1.8 lens allows for lower light photos than you might expect (although this is not it's best use) but does allow me to use the lowest ISO I can get away with, often 100 ISO and 125 ISO are common for best quality. It goes everywhere with me. I've always adored this light, well made and compact camera (with a slightly larger sensor than most compacts) and I rate it highly, very recommended!Read full review
