It's about time!
I did the usual internet search for typical causes and solutions for a non-heating clothes dryer. Of course, all of the most frequent and less expensive causes were not the culprit in my case! I was getting a bit antsy and frustrated, until I finally figured out the timer control was the problem. The only way I was able to confirm this? I stood behind the dryer with it running(the drum turning, anyway). I fiddled with the dryer control dial while my left leg was feeling the cool air coming out of the exhaust. All of a sudden I felt the cool air warming up. Sure enough, I found that the timer would indeed work only in certain and random positions. There it was! I then did the requisite internet search for a replacement part. I was surprised at the wide range of prices shown from various sources. I read some of the associated reviews. I ended up choosing to purchase from Ebay and this vendor. They had good reviews, a product name(Robertshaw) that I was familiar with, good price and good shipping terms. I received the part exactly as ordered and when expected. I was able to install it the very next morning. Dryer is working like new! Solved my dryer problem
Easy to install, Solved my problem of the timer dial that would not advance and therefore dryer would run for hours before I manually turned it off. Upon tearing down the old timer, I discovered many burned contacts inside the timer which must be why original timer stopped working. There are many versions of timers out there that pretty much look the same but are for different machines. Make sure you get the correct model for your dryer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
