The packing is double boxed with professional plastic film wrapping on the outer box and the component itself. You can hardly break the package even intentionally! Nice little amplifier
This amplifier does what it's meant to. It amplifies whatever you put into the input socket, and it appears on the output terminals. There's no obvious hum, noise or distortion (as long as the unit isn't over-driven). The power output is dependent on the supplied voltage. I think that 50W + 50W is rather optimistic. I powered the amplifier at 19V (as recommended), and measured 12.5W RMS per channel into 8Ω at the onset of clipping. This would suggest that it could be rated at "25 + 25 W music power". Perhaps Chinese Watts are smaller than western ones.... The build quality is amazingly good. The power indicator LED is a bit strange however - it's lit when power is applied, and gets a bit brighter when the amplifier is switched "on". Unfortunately, the hole that the LED shines ... Pretty good for the price
Works well so far, power seems adequate for my application. Using the on-off switch, there won't be a popping sound during turn-off, but if you power off from the mains there'll still be a "pop" so be careful. Sound quality wise, it's as expected from this sort of amp, pretty clear and smooth, a bit lacking in bass, used with a pair of Wharfedale Diamond bookshelf speakers.

Surprisingly Very Good!
Let start by saying that this was purchased for my shed connected to a pair of old AR18s.. but out of curiosity I wanted to see how it would perform against my home system. Connected to a ‘spare’ set of vintage Ruark Talisman II speakers and fed by a Dragonfly Red DAC connected to my phone, the initial sound was disappointing to say the least. It was harsh, the top end sounded tinny and frizzy at the edges. Very unpleasant. But.... the amp doesn’t ship with a psu and I was using a suspect old 12v wall wart which wasn’t helping. So to be fair I then swapped it out for an iFi 12v psu which I use on a DAC. It immediately sounded less harsh and much more together so I went out and left it playing for 4 hours to see if it needed more time. Yes it did. When I came back I was astounded at the ... It really is that good. I will be experimenting with other psu’s to see if this is critical for a decent sound. It may simply need to be powered up for a few days to sound good.

Lots of punch, low distortion and transparent sound However to get the best out of these amps they MUST be used with a high quality, low noise power supply capable of delivering the full output current at the selected voltage and load. ( I Recommend 24 volt at 4 amps minimum). "Wall wart" types are not recommended (typically noisy). I have a number of these amps driving high quality, close-field studio monitors (some bi-amped, some tri-amped) and as along time, highly discerning audio professional I am very pleased with the results.Great little digital (PWM) Audio Power amp. Great small hifi amplifier.
So far sounds great! It has a "crispy" sound, very good resolution, nice voice and bass. Im comparing it with 5 years old Tripath amp and this TPA3116 amp is definitely better. Im running it on 15V psu and small 2-way bookshelf speakers.
