Powerline adapters are great for giving a boost to in-home wifi, especially in rooms far from the router. They work for DSL connections, also. Very easy to use - one unit connects directly to your router, and additional units are plugged into standard electrical outlets wherever you need them and connected to your devices with an ethernet cable. For newer computers you may need a hub or adapter since ethernet ports are less common now.

Easy to setup. Range isn't that great. My 200Mbps internet connection was maxed out when the adapters where plugged into two outlets very close to each other. As I moved further away in my [small, 1300 sq ft] house, the speed dropped. With the adapters in opposite corners of my house, the speed was down to 80Mbps. I got it at a good price (~$23), so it's OK. At full price, I would not be very satisfied.

I bought this to connect to a Raspberry Pi set up as an internet radio in another room away from my router. It works without problems for this purpose. I tried it with TV and ROKU. It worked well for this. I have DSL and 1080 TV though. If you want 4k I doubt that this will work. The setup was about instant. Plug it in and plug in the cables. The link takes care of itself. There are decent security options. I would say this is a good product if your intended use is limited. If you have a newer TV or have demanding uses than get something better.

Let it be known your experience varies with other purchasers. My units are approximately 25 ft on house electrical wiring in length inside a home built in yr mid 1980s. I recieve perfect signal and receive full speed upload and download from my ISP. REMEMBER, you may possibly have a different experience than me and others. It all depends on the quality of the copper lines running within the walls of your home, (this is what the Ethernet signal travels along via electrical outlets) and the age of the home/wire. 10/10 for me because I hate wireless.

I have been using 1 pair of these for over a year and never had any problems great connection speed! I recently bought a 2nd set to use @ a basement apartment I'm renting. Tried TPLINK brand and they wouldn't even link. I used these I'm getting anywhere from 6-25 Mbps over WiFi on my cell phone, with a weak powerline network connection. Very satisfied!!!
