I LIKE it, but I don't LOVE it. It has some great features (see below). I really like the size of this unit. It will be great to use as a MP3 player while traveling. The home kit is worthless. I tried hooking up to my receiver and it sounded horrible so I bought the Audiovox XM radio compact sound system XMAS100, which I really like and would recommend. Because I did not have a south facing window near the sound system I also bought the Delphi SA10116-11B1 XM signal repeater which turned out to be my best purchase. The signal is strong all the way across my house. I Like the Pioneer XMP3 Player quite a bit. I was used to having a Stationary one in the car before that was connected to the Antenna input. I would not recommend using that type of connection due to poor sound quality. If possible, I would recommend some type of direct input connection for the best sound quality. I Love the ability to be able to take the player with me anywhere! It also has the capabilities to record, although a little confusing how to replay the recording, once you figure it out it's great. I would recommend this player.
well yes... I would get something else,, but then I am the kinda guy that feels like it is 2010 and EVERYTHING should be in ONE box ..phone,gps,music,local radio, and xm that you can record also well there is not ONE box for everything so this will have to do till there is... yes I love this box and yes I would get it again, problem with the battery....yap it dosent last as long as it could, but that is ok...just record a bunch of music and use it as a mp3 player. thats what i do sounds great and the signal is MUCH better than my (myfi) xm player...thanks enjoy Ron
It works fine hooked up to the docking station, but really thought I would be able to use it while working in the yard in my pocket and it doesn't. Had to get the extra head antenna, which still has issues under trees. I really thought it would be more portable. I've got XM in all my vehicles and had a Roady which was great for the house, but it finely bit the dust. I thought the reception would be much better than it is. For that reason, it does not perform to my expectations and I would not buy this particular model again.
this radio is so awsome and i can even pause and replay live xm radio its really like having a dvr for radio. its so easy to use and very bright and colorfull screen aswell as hd sound output. very powerfull equalizer and sound output. the reciever works even in the house with out putting it into a cradle! this also doesent feel cheaply made either. you can carry it around put it in your vehicle and take it out and put it in its house cradle to the battery lasts about 4 hours if brightness is on low and backlight off after 15 seconds. i absolutly would never consider ever getting another style radio not even the stelletto one!
