This heater throws off good heat, is safe, is better-looking than many, and is a great value. Two little keep it from rating 5 out of 5. The igniter is reliable but the ignition process seems to take longer than it should--for some reason it takes 30 seconds of pushing on the 'flow' knob to get the pilot lit and the flame launched. And the front panel is attached only by a magnet, a better locking mechanism would have been a simple addition. But overall the device works just as it should, the sight of the flame in the glass tube is glorious, the heating effect is perfect for a fall night - it's an excellent buy.

It arrived broken, I had to fix many parts. I thought it was a full size patio heater, not a table top, but that is on me, I should have read the fine print better. Also, it's does not put off much heat. It's more for a cool summer evening, not the middle of winter in the north west. I can warm my hands if I put them over the top, I also thought it would take a large propane tank, it takes the small green cans. But, it can sit on a patio table, with a hole for an umbrella, and hook up to a large tank that way if you want. Very disappointed. But it will be nice when spring / summer arrives. It's really just for the look.

It's like a really safe, bright bonfire without the risk of getting burned. It went together easily, lights easily, looks great. But it doesn't put out a lot of heat and is probably not much use below 50F other than for ambience. The mushroom heaters put out more heat but don't look nearly as cool. So I bought one of each.

We were looking for a stylish heater to use outside in Colorado during the winter months. This one is definitely stylish, although best suited for "warm" winter nights of around 40 degrees or above. The issue is one that is common with many patio heaters that use a propane tank as the heat source. Because of the height of the propane tank, the flame/heat is directed near or above your head when you're sitting down. Unfortunately, there is no way around this. When sitting, it would be better to have heat near your mid-section to keep you warm which is impossible for units that use a propane tank as part of their design. We have enjoyed the heater on warmer winter nights (and it will be great during the summer and fall) but it will not be adequate for a typical Colorado winter night. It looks great though!Read full review

Needs assembly, but not difficult. Allow space. Parts fit together nicely. Well made. Lights easily with adjustable flame. Heat distributes better on calm days/nights with little to no wind. Looks great! I recommend a cover to protect from weather when not in use, unless you have someplace to store. Looking for a second one.
