I was expecting a little bit of extra sharpness vs the PS2's default composite cable, but the difference is pretty dramatic. It's well worth it if you have a TV that supports composite inputs and are looking to do some PS2 retro gaming on the big screen. Don't forget to switch the output in the PS2 menu options from Composite to Component before hooking it up though, or you'll get no picture!

Do some research on "shadowing" when using "cheap component cables". Often with lower quality cables the RGB channels don't sync properly, giving the effect of superimposed images or a sort of shadowing effect. Using a pair of these cables on my PS3, I experienced a superimposed image about 1/4 to 1/2 inch off. Not wanting to spend over $50 on Sony cables, I tried a set of Monoprice cables. When I purchased them (at only a few dollars more per set), the quality of the Monoprice cables was evident before even connecting them (as seen in the thicker cables offering better shielding). No shadows seen with the new cables. tl;dr- Pass on these KMD cables. Try Monoprice cables instead.

This does not work on 50% of my TV's... It seems to work more on later model TV's and because of that the standard store brand PS3 component cables, which work on the PS2, may work on more TV's... Whats weird is it works on my HDTV but has lines running across it(Which makes it UN-playable) and turns on and off sporadically.... There are a lot of variables to take into account and its hard to even determine if the cables are working properly.... I wouldn't recommend this unless you have an old HDTV or even older, pre-HDTV, model.

I purchased with the intention to use in my new flat screen but when I plugged it in it would not read my ps 1 games said “ no compatible data found . But as soon as 1 put in a ps 2 game it started working. So don’t buy to use unless you don’t want to play any retro ps1 games
