For the serious bible student, the open bible provides the bridges between scriptures that were not available before it was published in the late 70s. I probably have 15 versions of the bible and of all of them this one is my favorite. I bought my first copy in the summer of 1985,and still use it today. the one i bought here is for my granddaughter. The thomas nelson open bible is available in other versions also, with the same reference aids. Josh Mcdowell once wrote that he thought that the new american standard version was second to none in translation accuracy. . I hope this helps to persuade you to acquire one for yourself. you wont be sorry. clay parsons

I love this NASB study Bible. It has overviews for every book of the Bible, Jesus' letters in red, and is printed on heavier weight paper than many Bibles.

One might think this NASB is a better translation than that of the KJV but ask yourself which manuscripts did the translation committe used? Did they used the Alexandrian or the Antioch manuscripts. Besides this version questions its own translation by inserting a lot questionable statements like: this verse/s are not found in the latest manuscripts. If Ihave to hold on to this Bible as God's accurate Word will I have hope to those missing verses and chapters? No.
