These router bits are junk. The cutting edges have chipped carbide because they bash around during shipping. The bits are held in foam blocks which are unglued from the foam backing; therefore damage is inevitable. The bearings are so bad they actually rattle; so even at 8,000rpm the router bits are dangerous to use. The case is not aluminum. It is aluminum colored plastic with micro thin aluminum trim. I would suggest you only use them on pine or other soft wood for a small hobby project. They are really intended as one use only disposable router bits.

When I first received from UPS thought wow they spent a little extra in free shipping. Then turned the box over and the router bits were rattling together. That is a big NO-NO. What every woodworker wants is a tool that is not chipped, bent or damaged. When looking for a 1/2 inch router set you think that an aluminum case is there to protect the tools. But that only means something if the holders and labels are secured to the case. If you DO purchase this product, be prepared to spend some time and money fixing this issue. You will need square dowels, a table saw and drill press. You already have the foam strips as a template. And the slot labels are already coming loose from the foam. Buy the square dowels, drill holes with a 1/2 inch forstner bit spaced like the foam pieces. Rip the dowels at the same angle as the foam strips. Attach the labels with wood glue and finally you can use glue internally or I prefer using round head screws, THROUGH the case and into the wood but steer clear of any tool bit shaft holes you already drilled. Please see pictures of how mine arrived. This is typical, because the wrong glue on the labels and to attach the black rubber was used. If you do not heed my recommendations, I understand. But, be prepared for future tool damage, the rubber and labels coming loose again. Some sellers actually sell these kits AS-IS, with actual photos of the sets. See my pictures. This is what you should EXPECT. And not a perfect box. Repaired by gluing the foam holders and labels back down and clamped each row wits a 1 inch square dowelRead full review

Great variety, great value. Bits could have had a rubber dipped coat on them before packaging as it must of been a rough delivery with 4 damaged bits. Would have been nice if the dovetail bits had the ° for the angle but nice size variety. 1 bit missing the bearing shell. Would recommend this great variety pack.

The only problem I can see is the case is very cheap made and is coming apart when I received it. That doesn’t bother me because I won’t use the case anyway . I just want people to know to not expect a nice case with these bits because the case is terrible.
