I spent months researching robot vacuums, reading reviews and saving my money. I finally settled on the highly recommended Neato. It is awesome! It gets into corners, navigates systematically, does not fall down the stairs, and can handle my German shepherd's hair. The tires have treads like you wouldn't believe; allowing it to vacuum over obsticals like thick power cords. He lets me know when he gets stuck (only once in a month), when he is done cleaning and if his bin needs empty. He even does this little but wiggle thing as he backs into his charging station. The app is simple and easy to use. Scheduling and starting the bot while away from home is so easy. It generates a beautiful map to show you where it has and hasn't cleaned. That way you never miss a spot. Between a dog and a huge house, this bot has been a life saver. I recommend it to everyone!Read full review

This is the only one I’ve ever owned that cannot find its way home to charge it pushes the charger around the beeps about a foot away and I’m unable to set up wifi So i cannot set up turbo mode ...i cannot schedule cleanings for while I’m at work like i do downstairs... Kevin, our Neato Botvac D3, has been a great addition to the family. He cleans the floor almost every day for us and even gets in spaces where I would avoid getting to because it's difficult to get to (under the couch). While the cleaning isn't perfect especially around the edges, it is noticeably cleaner and the air is so much better in our house without all of the dust. While Kevin has been great and well worth the money, I was a little disappointed in the smarts it has. After doing the whole house mapping, I was expecting him to be very systematic on how he cleaned and very efficient, but that has not been my experience so far. He constantly turns and goes in weird paths and bumps into all sorts of things. He also gets stuck under chairs and end tables and then whines to me to get him unstuck. Even the seemingly simple things like finding his charging station can take up to 10-15 minutes. All in all, the robot vacuum has been a great purchase for us and we don't regret spending the money at all. If you do end up getting a robot vacuum, be sure to clear your floor of any cords, blankets, clothes, or anything else that could be sucked up on the little one's journey.Read full review

After much research determined this machine is identical to the D5 model except for several things. No side brush, which users say doesn't do much. Comes with a ridiculously cheap filter and has a smaller capacity battery. Also, no magnetic strip. For $200 less than the D5, it's quite a value. I bought 5 excellent filters from Neutop and a roll of magnetic tape from Sunstea for a total of $31. When the battery dies, I will replace with a larger capacity one. The unit works great. It performs better than expected and vacuums one level of about 1000 sq. ft. on one charge, even with the smaller battery. The non random pattern is quite efficient and vacuums in less than half the time of the random models. Reading reviews on all the various brands, it's apparent that longevity is a major issue. It makes sense that the one does the job in half the time will run fewer hours and should last a lot longer.Read full review

This product is great. I have purchased other robotic floor cleaners and this is the best one I have purchased. Most us a very random cleaning pattern, but the Neato has a very systematic method that insures that it cleans the floor in less time and covers the entire floor. It can get hung up on some furniture, but that is very rare. This model the D3 can be connected to the internet so that you can control it with your smart phone, and schedule it to do your cleaning. The dirt compartment is easy to empty, and it does a great job. The seller was fantastic. It was delivered when promised, and all my questions were answered. I strongly recommend this product.
