For the price there is no way this would be a working model, that was fine for my purposes. FYI the tender and engine are rigidly connected, so I could not put this on a curved section of track. Also FYI, the wheels are more like hotwheels wheels than train wheels, they sit in a plastic channel and the trucks you see on the outside are just plastic tabs to keep the wheels semi centered (but the wheels move side to side several mm). Makes it a little more difficult to rail the wheels, but it is a one time deal for me. Actually I am going to buy several more of these for kids to play with to make it less tempting to touch the real ones.

Useful only as a piece of scenery. Cheaply made and overpriced. Just to be clear. It does not have a motor.

It can't be to durable because it was destroyed by USPS. I got a letter from them but can't very well give them any more documentation then the customs slip which was on the package. I can't even give a picture of what it was. So it looks I'm out one steam engine and the money I paid for it.
