It's pretty sturdy. I've dropped it many times. Only bought a replacement after running it through the wash cycle (accidentally, obviously). But it has a lot of annoying features. You know how if you're on the phone with a loud talker, the person sitting next to you can hear what he's saying? That's the quality of the speakerphone turned up high. And pulling it out of a pocket or just picking it up, it's way too easy to accidentally hit the button on the side that turns off the ringer. Which you won't know until someone eventually tells you or you happen to check because you haven't gotten a call you expected. Being a clamshell, you can put it in a pants pocket and it doesn't dial Argentina when you bend over. But it does accidentally activate the voice feature, so your pocket will start demanding that you make a new selection. I was disappointed that it doesn't let you record sounds and save them for use as a ringtone. The corresponding AT&T phone not only let you do that, but was free. Verizon reception was just better in our area. What can I say? Life is compromise.Read full review
If you want a basic phone that is small, user friendly, with a good battery life and colored screen.. this is the phone for you. With a good healthy battery the phone can be used for several days between charges. Good price. Good product. Thanks, Samsung!

I got this phone two years ago (2009) after my old phone was stolen. I still have it, and it still works great! I've never really had any problems with it at all. It's perfect for texting, especially if you know how to use 9Word. It also has access to the web, and I've found it very handy with Facebook. I could even access non-traditional websites. But no internet plan is required for it. I love the size and shape of it, it's perfect for even a woman's pocket or purse, and sturdy to hold onto. And although a standard flip phone, the glossy screen on the front helps it look a little more hi-tech. It holds a lot of photos, whether they were taken by the phone itself or sent from someone else via pix message. I can also download my own ringtones, whether right from the network or from a computer. Calls are very clear and strong. I've also used it many times as an alarm clock, and that works great. It gives the option to download other programs and games, I just never did. If I had to gripe, I wish it had a higher quality camera. Though I did take some very nice pictures with it, if the lighting and angle weren't just right, the photos come out grainy. I also wish it had more memory, especially while browsing the web. If a website had too many pictures, it would cause the browser to crash. But it's been such a great little phone the last few years. Unfortunately over the years it's gotten dinged up and even the camera lens got scratched. Time for a new one. But I'm going to miss this one! It's been with me through thick and thin, and it's like saying good bye to a friend.Read full review
The phone is really neat. It's a basic phone that handles phone calls but that's where it stops. I love the fact it does not have an external antenna and that it's so light (it almost feels like a toy). The battery life is very good on it (about 4 days) and the clarity/reception is fine as well. The only gripe I have found thus far is that the front screen can only be activated by flipping the phone open. If I just want to see what time it is, I'd like to be able to click on one of the phone's side buttons to turn the front screen on and not have to flip it open.
Hey replied back right away when asked questions an the phone showed up a day earlier than expected. Came with battery charger an no damage
