This is it. This is the ultimate Nerf blaster. I've fought against battery powered Nerf toys for a while now since I've always felt the important part of using Nerf blasters was that anyone can power the toy with a simple motion of pulling back a lever or whatever device primes the ammo and pulling the trigger. Though, over time, I felt the desire to keep going - to play longer with less down time reloading and priming the toys for play. That's where the Nemesis comes in. The 100 round hopper is a joy to reload, taking only a few seconds to drop a handful of rounds in to just keep playing during extended Nerf wars. The only "down side" to the blaster overall is its weight and the sound. They built this big guy with older folks in mind (I'd say 12 and up crowd) so its a HEAVY toy without some sort of strap. It makes for a fun in hand experience for the older set like myself but for the target demographic of real actual children, that weight could be a problem. Just something to keep in mind and not really a knock against it so much as a "know what you're buying" side of things. The sound of the motor was another thing that I found kind of surprising. I'm used to Nerf blasters being silent or relatively 'clacky' experiences, this guy, when you prime the motor, it revs up like a small in hand vacuum. Just a minor thing to make note of if you're buying this for your kid and didn't expect the sound of the thing to be a factor. Overall, I love the Rival line and the Nemesis has earned all the respect its gained and I can't recommend it enough. ONE MAJOR NOTE: I recommend buying the Rechargeable Nerf Battery for this big guy because it does require 6 / SIX D BATTERIES to run. That adds to the heft of this already heavy blaster and the Rechargeable will both save you a ton of cash and lower that weight a bit.Read full review

Although the NERF Rival Nemesis MXVII-10K Blaster is a lot of fun, I wouldn't want to drop it on a hard surface. I believe the plastic make up of this product makes it fragile in nature, at what this product costs, I feel it should be made of a more durable material. It's new for me, so we shall see if it has longevity of life

Pleasantly surprised at how awesome this nerf gun is. Since it's a toy I honestly wasn't expecting much but this seriously high-powered! I shot some of the balls at my wall and there were several indentations left behind. With the amount of batteries required, it makes the gun super heavy so I went ahead and got the battery pack and it makes it substantially lighter so I recommend it.

Do not buy this without getting the rechargeable battery pack also. The battery pack is stronger and lasts much longer than the D cell batteries, not to mention much cheaper in the long run. My kids love shooting this gun at each other, I don't recommend getting shot from close range. It's a blast having shootouts with each other. We haven't had any feeding problems or jams so far. The only downside is that you can empty the chamber is around 30 secs and you will lose balls all over the place.

I bought a couple of these for me and my wife to use and we have had tons of fun with them! We bought the rechargeable batteries so we wouldn't have to keep buying D batteries and it has been worth the money and then some!
