Had my first one for 12 years, never had a problem with it. I charger it ever three days. The cord is another issue. Had to buy three over the 12 years, that little pin breaks easy. Had to replace the first one because my Yorkie busted the screen knocking it off the kitchen table. Shattered the screen. It was easier and cheaper to order another from EBay than replace the screen. Still can use the first one, leave it on the stand, and look past the broken screen (taped it up with box clear tape). It's like a Timex. Takes a licking and keep on ticking. Second one seems to have a few more new features although it's the same tablet. Arrived on time (about 3 day) via UPS. So far I'm happy with it!! Talked my daughter into getting one. She loves hers as well.

Motorola Xoom picture showed a very smashed screen. I was presently surprised when there was only one small crack that did not imped clear screen and great resolution. I simply are using it as is rather than replace screen that was initial plan. gene

I bought this tablet to have internet access on the go: I travel a lot. I took it to Verizon and had sim card installed: I have access everywhere I have been, including Canada. I seldom use wi-fi: by choice. Tablet is heavy: more so with protective case. I don't mind the weight and the protection is worth it. The screen is good, not great. A little to sensitive to the touch. The best feature in my opinion is full internet access. 3g is adequate: no 4g with this 64 gig, although advertised as such. The storage can become cluttered with useless stuff quickly, so be prepared to go to settings and eliminate some stuff. A major advantage of this tablet is micro SD port, which was a MAJOR factor in my purchase decision. I also would consider Kindle HD 8.9 over ipad or Samsung or anything else from Verizon. The reason is price vs. what you get for the money.Read full review
I bought this tablet for my wife. She was trying to surf the web on her ipod touch and was frustrated by the small screen. Enter the Motorola Xoom! We looked at the ipad2 but were scared off by the price! I found this on daily deals and went for it. Very happy with the purchase. It is much easier for her to surf the web and view her e-mail. Since she is not a PC person this was a good alternative. The touch screen is very responsive (sometimes too much so!) and the resolution is great. 32GB of internal storage and the capability to connect to Verizon mobil if we so choose to. Right now we strictly use it on WiFi and works very well on that. The only complaint I have is the external memory slot does not work even after updating the OS to ICS 4.0.1 which should mean the micro sdhc slot should be activated. Bought as a seller refurbished unit, could explain why. Maybe if I had purchased a factory refurbished unit this wouldn't be an issue. Other than that I would definitely recommend this tablet to a friend.Read full review
At half brightness, battery life averages about seven hours. For $72 Dollars, as a backup can't be beat. The Xoom can be rooted, and then brought up to Android 4.4.4 using software available from XDA. Use either CWM, or Omnirom. The Xoom is still a very capable temporary tablet to have. I just bought this one as I severely damaged my new tablet and am waiting for parts from China. It's not the fastest anymore, but still a very useable, full featured tablet.
