This phone is compact, lightweight, and feels solid. Once you learn how to access the different features, it is very easy to use. One big caveat: since it doesn't have a touchscreen, Microsoft deprive you of the full power of the Windows Mobile operating system. For example, there is no notes application included. And tasks seem to work differently than on a touchscreen model. However, you can use tasks instead of notes! The headphone socket is on top, so you can carry it right way up in your pocket with a headphone attached. And recharging through a mini-usb socket is superbly convenient.
If you are looking for a cheep full featured smart phone with out a data package this is the one, not only can you do ms word and excel but it sinks to your pc for all neat things that you can share, the win 6.1 is a good platform and you can get a aftermarket wi fi sd card modem and surf internet for free at any wifi hotspots, this is and was a great feature for this phone, the keys are a better size than the newer smaller blackberries and other touch screen type phones, if you like a full featured key pad like I do this is it battery life is not bad as well, has a good quality speaker phone and load speaker.
This is a good upgrade from the old Moto Q. The OS is much more stable and the battery life of the extended battery is excellent. The keyboard is improved and we are quite pleased. This replace a Moto Q my wife dropped by accident into some water. The phone came with no cosmetic scratches and was easy to use.
I have owed this phone since 2008. I know what your thinking...old technology. This is such a durable phone! I have dropped it in water 3 times now and it still works! Beat that! So I got another one for when this one uses it's last life. Verizon told me while shopping for a new phone, "you will never get a phone this durable again. They don't make them this good anymore."
Yes, it is a success. I got this phone after getting SOOOO excited about it, when I first got it, it was 2006, and it had been out for about a year i estimate. With the frequent shut down of the first device I had to go and have a new phone ordered. Which of course was the same phone I loved (Q) and I went back to loving this phone. Well I dropped it and the phone broke the full keyboard. While I was depressed about this, My Treo performed better, and my iPhone replacement for that proved better as well, but id still get this.
