I PURCHASED THIS PHONE TO REPLACE MY OLDER MOTOROLA FLIP-PHONE THAT, AFTER 10 YEARS OF PERFECT SERVICE, MET ITS DEMISE BY BOUNCING DOWN A FLIGHT OF BASEMENT STAIRS ONTO A CONCRETE FLOOR. IT STILL WORKED...ER MOSTLY. SO i PURCHASED THIS RUGGED VERSION AND, WHILE STILL AS COMPACT WHEN FOLDED AS THE ORIGINAL, SLIPS CONVENIENTLY INTO MY SUIT POCKET. AS A RETIRED ENGINEER, i CAN APPRECIATE THE "BARRAGE" RUGGED DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE -- IT IS SO RUGGED THAT i HAVE NO DOUBT IT WILL OUTLAST ME. ALSO, THE PRICE IS A BARGAIN FOR WHAT YOU GET. I like the phone. This would have been my third over the last 15 years, but when I went to Verizon to have it placed into service the rep could not activate it. It seems Verizon no longer supports this model. Its too old, like me, I guess. Other carriers may still support it but I've been a Verizon customer for many years and don't plan on changing anytime soon.
