Did not properly fit. NOT Cub Cadet OEM.
This mulch plug was NOT Cub Cadet OEM. It was a standard 42" MTD product. I was forced to cut, drill and retro fit this mulch plug to my deck. But after that, it worked fine. Thought I would pay a little more for OEM, but not what I got.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Conflicts with the mower directional clippings chute
This was suppose to fit the MTD mower. While it appears it does fit the mower grass opening, it does not do so without the total removal of the chute. Some have reported the top "brackets' hold up the chute which need not be dismounted, but on my standard MTD model, they do nothing. They cannot interface to hold up the chute and require a total removal of all chute hardware and mounting springs, etc.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Pretty good mulch plug.
It covers the chute hole in the mower deck, but not the greatest. It does the job, for the most part. I had to use a bungee to hold it tighter to the mower deck, because the grass would still come out without it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
