I am anticipating building this model kit, the couple of moebius ford truck kits I own are really nice quality and have some pretty good details, very little flash and the parts fit together great. The only thing I think could use improvement on would be the smaller engine parts could use more detail, and maybe some custom parts or even small bonus accessories added also would be cool for the price. The prices are decent when newly released but seem to get higher quickly which is a bit aggravating. I will definitely be buying others in the future regardless.

It has a couple detail inaccuracies. For example 1970 Ford F100 4x4 pickups came standard with the 240 inline six with optional 300 I6 or 360. Also, they came with four speed NP435 floor shift transmissions married to a Spicer (Dana) 21 single speed transfer case. The model is a combination of a 1970 F100 and F250. The 250 and 350 4x4 pickups came with the three speed column shift standard or the optional four speed with a divorced two speed Spicer (Dana) 24 xfer case not a NP205 (like the model). There are other subtle detail issues, but only if you're striving for 100% accuracy. It's nothing time and patience can't fix. For the casual modeler they will be largely unnoticed. I'm actually looking forward to building this.

Moebius builds superb kits with professional fit and excellent quality. However, the boxart is of the F250 3/4-ton pickup with 8-bolt 16.5 inch wheels and tires versus the F100 1/2-ton pickup with 5-bolt 15 inch wheels. I hope a manufacture comes out with an accessory pack with the heavier duty wheel-tire set and decal F250 emblems to upgrade this otherwise fine and long-awaited kit.

The picture on the box is not a proper representation. The box shows a F-250 in my opinion. 16” wheels and standing pretty tall. What you’ll have is a truck that looks like a 1/2 ton truck setting low to the ground with 4 wheel drive. What I dislike most, the wheels won’t roll, they have to be glued in place something I personally don’t like, I like wheels that roll. Other than that it’s a pretty nicely detailed model.

Haven't been in a situation that has let me do more than just unpack the models, but, judging by said packing, can see no reason to expect problems. Bought them for a customizing project and really hope to get to it soon. Thanks
