I'm afraid I should prepare the drive to put into a new system and retire this board, though. This is my second chip from them, and the factory one was burnt out, so I'm thinking it's the board.

I can now boot from a PCIe SSD installed on a PCIe to M.2 adapter card (AMPCOM M.2 NVME SSD to PCIe 4.0 Adapter Card) Installed in a spare PXIe 2.0 slot. My boot C: drive now runs 5+ times faster than my SATA III SSD. I wish there was a TIPS line on the invoice sheet included in the Bios that explains that in BIOS the BOOT disk will show up on the disk list as: "PATA SS: ". HINT to vendor It would have saved time
